THE STEAMHOUSE

Modern Boudoir Photography

by Rebecca Tillett

I absolutely love empowering women to own and love their bodies and their beauty, both inside and out.

All women, all colors, all body types, all ages—let’s create images that prove that you were bold and brave, that you existed here on this little spinning speck in this vast universe for a moment in time and that you lived fearlessly. Let’s create something just for you that you can feel proud of, or something sexy for suitors or a partner (magazine-quality images trump cell-phone selfies any day!) or even something you can gleefully show your friends one day when you’re wrinkly and gray. You won’t regret it!

I was just a teenager in New Mexico when I picked up my first film camera and began shooting with no idea what I was doing.

At first: local scenery, my friends, abandoned buildings and urban exploration. And then, still just a senior in high school, I felt pulled to capture the female body. Always with black and white film. I began taking self-portraits while also roping my friends into modeling for me, and luckily, I had very agreeable and beautiful friends, some that have been modeling for me for over two decades now.

In my early 20s the notoriety I never actively sought found me as I fielded requests for interviews, magazine features, group gallery shows and book compilations. For the last 20 years I have worked by day as a graphic designer but continued to shoot art nude photography in my free time when I felt inspired. This culminated with local art shows in Colorado, collaborative shows across the US, Europe and Australia and ultimately a solo exhibition in Rome and a second Rome show in the early teens.

And then a divorce, a big move, a return to college to earn my Bachelor’s degree, a second marriage, an RV renovation project and new motherhood forced my photography to take a backseat to everything else happening in my life.

In 2020, the pandemic and the transition to a remote work life allowed my family and I to move from Denver to a rural home in Oklahoma about 30 minutes south of Tulsa for a slower, quieter way of life and at the end of 2023 I decided it was finally time to take a break from the corporate rat race and turn this two-decade old passion of mine into my work. My husband, daughter and I now live on a 7 acre property in Okmulgee County and have been slowly and patiently building the life our hearts have been aching for for years.

TESTIMONIALS

Becky’s eye for photography is incredible, but what is even more impressive is her calm demeanor and her ability to put her subject at ease.

I’ve been working with Becky for years and I have always felt comfortable with her, especially when trying something new and vulnerable. You will not regret working with her and the photos you receive will be a treasure!

—Maddie C.

I had no experience when I first modeled for Becky, but you wouldn't know it from the photos.

I became the sexy muse so naturally, and that is Becky's magic. She made me feel so comfortable and safe, and we had a blast. I've been fortunate enough to shoot with Becky more, and I treasure her artistic perspective captured with each session.

My relationship with Becky began more than 20 years ago, when I essentially wrote her a fan letter.

I was already smitten with her body of work, the aesthetics she works with, and her ability to improvise. Even when I was just a fan and not yet a friend, Becky was warm, inviting, and encouraging.

She doesn’t do things by half measures. She targets the dream world in her head and doesn’t stop until she’s able to force it into the shared reality and we’re all better for it.

I’ve modeled for Becky for years and in very different environments and in many different states of body. No matter how I looked or felt about myself at a given time, she has a gift for making me feel special and beautiful in moments that would likely be some of my most vulnerable.

From scrambling over boulders for the perfect shot while she was eight months pregnant, to helping me crawl out of a bush that had attacked me, Becky is not only a brilliant artist, but a consummate professional.

I still laugh when my spouse mentions that the very first piece of art he ever bought was a photo that Becky had taken of me. I’m always excited to see what she does next.

Becky has been shooting me for almost 20 years.

No matter what kind of shoot it was: fashion, surreal, or nude- I have always felt incredibly sexy, empowered and absolutely ecstatic during the shoot and when looking at the photos. There’s something exquisite about Becky’s eye and vision- she will capture you in the true goddess form that you are, but perhaps you couldn’t see before she photographed you. She has a talent for bringing out your divine femininity and sexual beauty that is yours to revel in forever with your photographs. I will be having Becky shoot me until I’m old and wrinkly. I can’t wait to look back on the history of our work together and smile at how much beauty and power we found together and that she brought out in me.

I have never been a very photogenic person, I tend to get nervous & unsure of how to act naturally any time a camera is pointed at me.

But that's never the case with Becky. She has a way of helping me feel comfortable as she guides me through a shoot, & has an incredibly artistic eye that allows her to create the perfect photo specific to each individual model. Her talent makes me feel beautiful, which is not the way I typically feel about myself in photos. If you're nervous about having boudoir photos taken, rest assured Becky will help you feel incredibly at ease while she captures your beauty. You will not be disappointed!

If you are nervous about feeling comfortable around a photographer, then Becky is your choice.

She was the first person that came to mind after I decided I wanted a photoshoot with my new breast implants, even though our last photoshoot was over 12 years ago. I wrote to her on Instagram telling her that I wished we lived close to each other again so she could shoot my new boobs and I sent her completely uncensored photo evidence! That being said, I don't really need new photos from Becky because I love the photos we took 12 years ago so much that they are still saved on my phone and I use them when I'm sexting with a new person I'm dating. They always get the best feedback from my dates!

I worked with Becky on a shoot a few years ago.

We had come up with an idea to recreate the famous Banksy’s Balloon girl and her artistic ability and creative mindset brought the entire piece to life! She was very professional, knowledgeable, and also a lot of fun to work with! She made me feel so comfortable and beautiful! I hope one day if our paths ever cross, to work with her again!

—Melissa M.

I loveeee the photos from my shoot with Becky!

Becky had this amazing ability to make me feel comfortable in front of the camera - which is a skill in itself, over and above the fact that she did that while I was wearing a minimal amount of clothing!!  She is a constructive, encouraging, and extremely talented photographer and the photos from our shoot are sensual, intimate, and if I do say so myself, hot AF!! I know I'll enjoy these photos for years to come.

—Rachel M.

Doing a nude/boudoir shoot with Becky is something you absolutely must do.

As a photographer myself, I tend to stay behind, not in front of a camera. But when an esteemed fine art photographer crosses paths with you, it’s an opportunity you should definitely jump on! Becky made me feel accepted, beautiful, and the images were amazing. I am no model, but after looking at my images, I felt like one. After my first shoot with her, I came back for 2 more! I would recommend Becky to literally anyone seeking a boudoir session. You will not be disappointed and you will be surprised at how effortless it really can be! Do it do it do it!

—Chelsea C.

I have zero modeling experience and after years of seeing Becky's photos online I asked her to take some seductive, intimate photos…

…specifically with my face slightly hidden. "Why hide my face?" you ask - Well... That was my comfort level AND Becky met me where I was at! It was the most empowering, wonderful experience that I would strongly recommend to anyone. She captured my best angles, walked me through posing like a pro and when I got the final edits of the photos, I was blown away! It was the best birthday gift I have given myself.

Recently single and want to feel empowered? Take the photos.

Married and want to surprise your partner? Take the photos.

Monumental birthday coming up? Take the photos.

Want to feel like the seductive queen that you are? Take the photos.

I know I will be booking again for my 40th.

Why “Steamhouse” ?

I live on 7 acres about 30 minutes south of Tulsa, OK and have converted my greenhouse into my photo studio! It can get quite steamy so The Steamhouse felt like the perfect name.
