I was just a teenager in New Mexico when I picked up my first film camera and began shooting with no idea what I was doing.
At first: local scenery, my friends, abandoned buildings and urban exploration. And then, still just a senior in high school, I felt pulled to capture the female body. Always with black and white film. I began taking self-portraits while also roping my friends into modeling for me, and luckily, I had very agreeable and beautiful friends, some that have been modeling for me for over two decades now.
In my early 20s the notoriety I never actively sought found me as I fielded requests for interviews, magazine features, group gallery shows and book compilations. For the last 20 years I have worked by day as a graphic designer but continued to shoot art nude photography in my free time when I felt inspired. This culminated with local art shows in Colorado, collaborative shows across the US, Europe and Australia and ultimately a solo exhibition in Rome and a second Rome show in the early teens.
And then a divorce, a big move, a return to college to earn my Bachelor’s degree, a second marriage, an RV renovation project and new motherhood forced my photography to take a backseat to everything else happening in my life.
In 2020, the pandemic and the transition to a remote work life allowed my family and I to move from Denver to a rural home in Oklahoma about 30 minutes south of Tulsa for a slower, quieter way of life and at the end of 2023 I decided it was finally time to take a break from the corporate rat race and turn this two-decade old passion of mine into my work. My husband, daughter and I now live on a 7 acre property in Okmulgee County and have been slowly and patiently building the life our hearts have been aching for for years.

My relationship with Becky began more than 20 years ago, when I essentially wrote her a fan letter.
I was already smitten with her body of work, the aesthetics she works with, and her ability to improvise. Even when I was just a fan and not yet a friend, Becky was warm, inviting, and encouraging.
She doesn’t do things by half measures. She targets the dream world in her head and doesn’t stop until she’s able to force it into the shared reality and we’re all better for it.
I’ve modeled for Becky for years and in very different environments and in many different states of body. No matter how I looked or felt about myself at a given time, she has a gift for making me feel special and beautiful in moments that would likely be some of my most vulnerable.
From scrambling over boulders for the perfect shot while she was eight months pregnant, to helping me crawl out of a bush that had attacked me, Becky is not only a brilliant artist, but a consummate professional.
I still laugh when my spouse mentions that the very first piece of art he ever bought was a photo that Becky had taken of me. I’m always excited to see what she does next.

The great experience begins as soon as you send an inquiry- her pre-session questionnaire is so thoughtful. Prior to your session, she gives you plenty of guidance on how to get into a comfortable mindset going in.
The greenhouse is absolutely gorgeous. You can already see the vision. seeing yourself in her mirrors? you're like, okay!
Becky went above and beyond. I visited her for a very special occasion. I left feeling so good about myself, and when I received my images, I wanted to plaster them on billboards and brag about how absolutely gorgeous I think I am. I have never been a very photogenic person, I tend to get nervous & unsure of how to act naturally any time a camera is pointed at me.

She was the first person that came to mind after I decided I wanted a photoshoot with my new breast implants, even though our last photoshoot was over 12 years ago. I wrote to her on Instagram telling her that I wished we lived close to each other again so she could shoot my new boobs and I sent her completely uncensored photo evidence! That being said, I don't really need new photos from Becky because I love the photos we took 12 years ago so much that they are still saved on my phone and I use them when I'm sexting with a new person I'm dating. First, the location and the studio - I feel like the Steamhouse is a unique setting, very different and unique compared to other boudoir studios I looked at! The 360° lighting in the steamhouse made for incredible photos and an organic look and experience. Loved the way it was decorated, the natural and almost rustic vibe, and the details in the textures!!
What it felt like - Being in the Steamhouse was so fun! Becky's place and the studio are definitely a bit out of the way - it is in a rural area. It felt private. Once we were in the Steamhouse, it felt like we dropped into our own little world where it was just me, my lingerie, and Becky and her lens. There is privacy from the windows of the Steamhouse and I had a partitioned private space to change outfits throughout our shoot. When shooting, I appreciated the mirrors that were placed in a few spots- they really helped me have better awareness of my posing so I could adjust my body to more flattering angles. Loved the option to play music during our shoot - listening to my baddies playlist definitely helped me get into a sensual mood, have fun, and feel playful and sexy!!!
Now about Becky - I felt very comfortable with Becky and really enjoyed the way she spoke to me throughout the shoot. She was a great guide and also gave me space to experiment with what felt good to me- I loved how she would "ooh" and "ahhh" when we were shooting, her guidance and verbal encouragement definitely helped me come out of my shell, lean into the experience and feel into a confident, sensual part of myself that I am thrilled is captured on camera!!
The photos I received are HOT and I am soooooo glad to shoot with Becky. I know I will cherish and enjoy these for years to come. Shooting boudoir with Becky was a real gift, in that she captured MY experience of feeling sexy, sensual and feminine. I feel beautiful seeing my photos!! Doing a nude/boudoir shoot with Becky is something you absolutely must do.
As a photographer myself, I tend to stay behind, not in front of a camera. But when an esteemed fine art photographer crosses paths with you, it’s an opportunity you should definitely jump on! Shooting in the Steamhouse with Becky was one of the sexiest experiences I’ve ever had.

Why “Steamhouse” ?
I live on 7 acres about 30 minutes south of Tulsa, OK and have converted my greenhouse into my photo studio! It can get quite steamy so The Steamhouse felt like the perfect name. This studio is seasonal, open Spring and Fall-early Winter. Dates open a month in advance and are extremely limited.
