Graphic Design
My graphic design career essentially began in my early teenage years, around the age of 13 or 14, thanks to some encouragement from my mom. Armed with rudimentary software whose specifics elude me today, I undertook the task of creating a calendar as a heartfelt Christmas gift for our family. My tools were modest, limited to generating the actual calendar months digitally. The heart of the endeavor lay in the handmade collages I meticulously assembled, constructed using photographs of us all. To bring this labor of love to life, I relied on my local Kinko's, where I had these creations faithfully reproduced and bound into final pieces I was proud to gift to my loved ones.
My professional journey has since evolved, leading me to become a highly experienced and proficient in-house designer. Over the years, I've had the privilege of being an integral part of four remarkable in-house creative teams, collaborating with some of the most talented individuals I've ever had the honor of working alongside. The portfolio presented below is a mere glimpse into the vast body of work I've contributed to throughout my career and offers a curated selection from the multitude of projects I've had the privilege of being a part of throughout my creative journey.
Digital
Digital design includes everything from websites and landing pages, email design, social media graphics and animation created for any and all of those platforms. I love digital design, and I love the challenge of capturing a viewer’s attention online. I especially love creating animated gifs. Adding a simple yet repeating animation to an otherwise static graphic can be a game changer.
Print’s not dead! At least not yet. I absolutely adore the tactile nature of printed materials. There is truly nothing like it. This is a broad category with a variety of design created for print; booklets, one-sheeters, wedding invitations, posters, stickers, postcards, t-shirts, brochures, menus, business cards, billboards, banners, event tickets, and many more.
Editorial & Printed Ad
This includes both newspaper and magazine layout as well as print advertising in those mediums. Editorial design is not easily acquired experience and thus not a common skill these days but I’m so grateful to have it as it’s a design specialty that involves not only capturing a reader’s attention, but helping them to navigate the page with ease while keeping the reader engaged.
Logo & Branding
Branding is the heartbeat of a company's personality. It's the visual language that communicates values, instills trust, and leaves a lasting imprint on audiences. A well-crafted logo, as the emblem of this identity, is often the first touchpoint between a brand and its audience. It's a symbol that conveys the essence of a company, evokes emotions, and fosters recognition.
Retail & Packaging
Design is the silent ambassador of a brand. It's the unspoken language that captures attention, conveys value, and fosters a deep connection between products and consumers. In the retail space, packaging design is the face of this language. It's the first tactile experience customers have with a product, and it wields the power to spark emotions and influence purchasing decisions.
