And then a woman appeared on the barren land, with seeds in her teeth, and each limb a root in search of earth to plant themselves. And then a woman appeared on the barren land, and not from the rib of any man, and not for his pleasure or to come to his aid, for without woman, there is no life, and there is no man. And then a woman appeared on the barren land, and scattered her seeds, and birthed roots and walked the earth until all that was still and inanimate began to twist and move and reach for the sky in desire, in yearning, in want. And then a woman appeared on the barren land, as the arbiter on behalf of the aching young warring with a hostile universe, sprouting and blooming in concert all over this now vibrant and colorful orb suspended amongst the stars in darkness. And then a woman appeared on the barren land and admired all of sudden creation, and rooted her own soft body to the lush and electrifying earth. And the woman was naked, and she felt no shame. And the woman named herself Eve, because she would become the mother of all the living.
